GET set for the bigger and better annual summer fun run around Irvine Bay.

During the past three years the Irvine Bay Regeneration Company fun run has become an annual event. Come rain or, more unlikely, shine the runners will make their way through the 10k route as they enjoy the coastal scenery with supporters looking on.

Jim Montgomerie, known as the running kilt, helped organise the event. He said: "We have seen more and more people come along to enjoy the day - even when the weather has been against us. I hope more will turn out again this year, to keep the run growing."
