A SUPERB effort by a big-hearted businessman and his family and friends means a local Angelman Syndrome lad will be able to have the bed which will help him lead a more normal life.
As we reported a while back, David, the three-year-old boy looked after by Stevenston couple Catherine Crosbie and Gary Payton, needed the specially-modified �3,000 bed to give him some dignity as he was getting too big for his old one and the bottom of the range beds normally made available to Angelman's families are, as Catherine put it, more like cages.
Angelman Syndrome is a neurological condition whcih can cause jerky movements and sleep disorders - leading to youngsters being injured when they fall out of bed.
