POLICE are investigating an incident on Monday afternoon when one driver with children in his car reportedly reversed at speed into another before fleeing the scene at Ardrossan harbourside.

A woman driver was left badly shaken at the event which onlookers described as road rage.

One eyewitness said that there had been an exchange of words between the occupants of one car and another as they both travelled in the Harbour Road area near the Asda car park and filling station shortly before four o'clock.
