£6K CHARITY SUCCESS

THE Glentoran FC Legends versus a Scottish Seniors Select charity football match at Ardeer Stadium on Sunday raised the suberb sum of just over £6,000.

The game, in aid of The Butterfly Club, was preceeded by an under-11s tournament, with teams from Ardeer, Winton, Kilbirnie and Stewarton taking part.

Thirty-three men from Belfast club Glentoran made the trip over, including manager Phil Stevenston.
