'THERE'S NO GREATER GIFT THAN LIFE'
Three Towns football manager donates a kidney to save his father
THREE Towns youth football manager David Brown didn't think twice before donating his kidney to save his dad's life.
Despite warnings the operation could prove fatal or end in rejection he was keen to press ahead with the procedure which was to save the life of his dad, also named David.
"They said the surgery could result in death, or that the kidney could end up in a bucket or could be rejected by my dad," the former Stevenston resident said. "I didn't worry but I was nervous when I woke up after the operation and was thinking about my dad.
"If anyone asked me I would recommend doing it for a family member - it's worth it."
