AN ARDROSSAN man has been remanded in custody after being accused of exposing himself to two 17-year-old girls.

Steven Cherry, 31, of Chapelhill Mount, is also accused of following the two girls and placing them in a state of fear and alarm.

He also faces other charges, including possession of class B drugs.

Cherry is said to have exposed his genitals in a sexual manner to the teenagers on March 25 of this year at Park View in Ardrossan.

Kilmarnock Sheriff Court was this week told that he did so with the intention that he would be seen by pulling down his trousers and handling his private parts in a sexual manner.

Cherry is also accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer from fear or alarm by following the two females on the same day.

He is accused of two further charges of being in possession of amphetamine, a class B drug, in Central Avenue, Ardrossan and further that he had an open alcohol container in his possession, namely fortified wine.

Cherry entered a not guilty plea the Sheriff Court this week and was remanded in custody until his trial at the end of next month.
