TWO SALTCOATS woman have appeared in court accused of threatening a woman and damaging her property with a baseball bat.

Donna Strang, 38, of Lochwood Gardens, and Donna Fisher, 33, of Burns Avenue, are accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by threatening a woman with violence during a telephone call on November 24, 2013.

In January of this year, the two women are said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer from fear or alarm by striking the womans’ windows and threatening her with violence.

The pair are also charged with being conscious that the woman was a witness in the first charge named, and they attended her home, shouted, presented a bat, threatened her with violence and attempted to intimidate her to pervert the course of justice.

Strang is accused of two further charges of that she did, without reasonable excuse or lawful authority have in her possession an offensive weapon, namely a baseball bat and also that she recklessly destroyed or damaged the property belonging to another and did repeatedly strike a car with a baseball bat.

Both Strang and Fisher pled guilty to all charges and will face trial later in the year.
