A STEVENSTON man has been accused of assault and smashing a television at an address in the town earlier this year.
Thomas Stewart, 32, of Caledonian Road is accused of assaulting a woman by pushing her to the floor and striking her on the head with a wooden box.
The offence was said to take place on January 18.
Stewart is also accused of wilfully or recklessly destroying or damaging property belonging to another without reasonable excuse by kicking and smashing a television.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and is set to face trial in June.
