BE SURE to be at the Argyle Centre early tomorrow to grab a good place to cheer off the Queen of the Sea Royal Party on their parade.

The parade will start to line up at 10am and move off at 10.30am. The colourful spectacle will make its way to Melbourne Park from Campbell Avenue via Argyle Road, Raise Street, Barnett Crescent, Canal Street, Manse Street, Hamilton Street, Dockhead Street, Bradshaw Street and Winton Circus arriving at the park at 12.30 where the Queen of the Sea Amie Main will be crowned by last year’s Royal couple.

Melbourne Park will be the hub of the event with plenty of distractions for the whole family including stalls, inflatable slide, bouncy castle and face painting.

Owl Magic and Kirsty’s Kritters will fascinate the animal lovers and children’s entertainer Uncle Billy is sure to raise a smile.

Vintage fire engines, a car boot sale and a nail stall will keep the adults occupied.

On Sunday, the fun continues with a tribute act spectacular starring Cher and Robbie Williams.

‘Robbie Williams’ is Alan Walker – a multi-tribute entertainer who has been in the music business for 20 years. Alan has played in many bands of various styles from the classic Big Band and Swing/Jazz styles right through to rock bands.

‘Cher’ is Shona McVey – the lady with a hundred voices – who looks and sounds the part so well you’ll have to be strong enough to believe it’s not the real thing!

Alan and Shona will perform solo as their tribute personas then get together to bring the afternoon’s entertainment to a climax with a duet of popular covers.

The music starts at 1.30pm and as always – all the entertainment is free.

Sea Queen committee member Isabella Savona said: “We’re hoping for a really great family day out on the Sunday with everybody bringing along their tartan rugs and spreading out their picnics – just like the old days.

“It’s going to be another fantastic Sea Queen weekend!”
