WELL, if your week has been anything like mine I’m sure you’ll rate it as MANIC and I don’t think next week is going to be any different and I love it!

It might feel like it was ages ago since the Queen’s Baton Relay went through North Ayrshire but here at 3TFM we are still talking about how great a day it was. I feel it’s a must to thank everyone for the on-going feedback which 3TFM is still receiving regarding our input to the Queen’s Baton Relay day last Tuesday.

The volunteers had a great time entertaining the crowds at Stevenston Cross, compliments were flowing, the music was excellent, the flyers looked great, the weans were dancing and the joke competition and the good weather all helped make the day a great success. I’m so glad everyone enjoyed themselves.

This Saturday (July 26) between 12-3pm, 3TFM will be playing music at the Caledonia Care Home annual Summer Fete. This is an event which we always look forward to going to and it’s a delight to again be asked to come back to the fete. As well as music being played there will be various stalls selling books, CDs, DVDs, ornaments, home baking, a burger stall – scrummy! Kilwinning Pipe Band will play some tunes and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service hope to attend. Get your pics taken with birds of prey. And for the kids – that excludes you Tam – face painting and bouncy castles will also be there. So fun for all. In the next few weeks 3TFM will be running interviews with some top notch Scottish entertainers and as part of the Insight series of programmes hosted by Eddy Gemmel, Eddy will be interviewing the fantastic Ted McKenna of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band and Michael Schenker Group. Listen in to 3TFM, read the 3TFM column in this paper or log into the 3TFM website on www.3tfm.org for more details.

Until next week, take care of yourselves, tell your friends and family about us and keep tuned into the 3TFM frequency of 103.1FM or listen online via our website on 3tfm.org for more great music, interviews with many guests, to win great prizes in our competitions and be kept up to date with what’s happening in the Three Towns through our FREE What’s On feature.
