Howdy all. So yet again it’s time to submit this week's 3TFM column and keep the Three Towns community up to speed with what’s been happening within Ayrshire's first and original Community Radio Station. I can tell you in one word. Lots!

Last week, a local and regular listener to 3TFM, Derby Dave, kindly donated a pair of tickets as a prize for the recent Waverley cruise from Ardrossan to Lochranza and back.  The response was fantastic.  Gary from Saltcoats won the prize and had a great time.

Thank you to all who participated in the competition and a massive big THANK YOU to Derby Dave for donating such a fabulous prize to us.

3TFM had a brilliant time at the recent summer fete held at Saltcoats Bowling Club.  Weather held out for almost most of the afternoon and Iain Everington our MD even taught Gordon from the Food and Music show how to bowl.

I went home and immediately watched the movie The Dambusters.

The scene when the bouncing bomb hit the water was so reminiscent to Gordon's bowling technique.

Swiftly moving on next Monday Iain Everington's guest on the Community Sounds programme will be the President of the local Saltcoats, Stevenston and Ardrossan branch of the Royal British Legion Mr Alistair Kennedy.  Always a welcome guest into the 3TFM studios Alistair will be talking to Iain about the forthcoming World War 1 centenary memorial services, the talks they have been giving to local schools and local community groups.

On my regular show next Tuesday I will be airing an interview in which Insight and Career Show host Eddy Gemmell will be chatting to Ted McKenna a member of the fantastic Sensational Alex Harvey Band.

Eddy will be chatting to Ted about his love of music, his career and his inspirations. So stay tuned in for that next Tuesday morning between 10 and 11am.

Until next week’s column, take care of yourselves, keep your radio tuned to 103.1fm Community Radio for Health or listen in online via our website on 3tfm.org.

We are Ayrshire's first and original as well as the UK's leading health promoting Community Radio Station playing great music, chatting to interesting guests, running competitions and broadcasting health info which is all provided free of charge and brought to you by our volunteers.
