A STEVENSTON man has been fined after he admitted not taking care of his dog properly, causing it to become dehydrated.

Scott Anderson, 28, of Castle Avenue, admitted being responsible for a collie-cross named Butch and that he did cause the dog unnecessary suffering by failing to provide the dog with adequate nutrition and allowed the dog to become dehydrated and abnormally weak and thin in February of last year.

Anderson was fined £400 at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week for the offence.
