Sixty pupils from St Matthew’s Academy who will be eligible to vote today took part in the Big Big Debate at the Hydro in Glasgow last Thursday.
Around 8,000 15 to 17 year old first time voters heard Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Scottish Green Party leader Patrick Harvie thrash out the independence issues with Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson and Respect’s George Galloway.
Many of the young people took to Twitter to join in the debate – or just post a selfie.
