‘We did it!’ That was the cry as these plucky runners completed the Pretty Muddy course in Bellahouston Park on Saturday.
The fundraising friends from Ardrossan, Stevenston and West Kilbride – including Ayrshire Weekly Press’s own Yvonne Cresswell – took on the 5k muddy obstacle course to raise money for Cancer Research.
The disease is a topic close to the girls’ hearts – each of them have someone who has been affected by cancer.
Yvonne, who lost her uncle to bowel cancer, said: “We were shattered but delighted that we managed accomplish the challenge.
“I would definitely do it again as it’s a really worthwhile cause.” To date the team has raised over £2,000.
