Hi everyone. What a horrible start – weather wise – we have had to the week.

Sadly, we are still in the Autumn season and I dread to think what the Winter will be like.

I suppose it’s time to look out the winter clobber and stock up the kitchen cupboards with soup and food to make warm filling meals with.

Personally I think homemade broth or lentil soup followed by mince ‘n’ tatties just can’t go wrong, writes Louis Ferguson.

Recently I was a participant helping the medical world assisting doctors who wish to become consultants with their exams.

A relaxing few hours for yours truly and definitely a nerve racking time for the doctors sitting the exams.

On a break between these exams I got chatting to other participants taking part – all general chit-chat.

What do you do for a living, where are you from kind of thing?

I mentioned what I do and where – Saltcoats was mentioned. Jings!

For the rest of the break I got told about the holidays that they spent there, the places they went to go for meals, the shops they frequented, the pubs and the beach.

It actually got me thinking on my school summer holidays with my cousins.

Where did we go? Yep, it was Saltcoats.

All this got reminiscing and has given me an idea for a show or two, three, or possibly even four.

However, for it to work I would like the readers of the column and the listeners of 3TFM to inform me of their earliest, fondest, saddest, happiest even scariest moments spent in Three Towns and when.

Please send me the details of those moments to louisb@3tfm.org or send me a letter and post it to Station Manager, 3TFM, Focus Learning Centre, Primrose Place, Saltcoats, Ayrshire, KA21 6LH.

The more moments sent the better.

Until next week’s column, keep warm, look after yourselves, and keep that dial locked to 103.1FM or listen in online via our website on www.3tfm.org.

3TFM is Ayrshire’s first and original as well as the UK’s leading health promoting community radio station playing great music, chatting to interesting guests, running competitions and broadcasting health info which is all provided free of charge and brought to you by our volunteers.

If you’d like to be part of the 3TFM team and would like more information regarding volunteer recruitment or if you’d like 3TFM to make aware of your group’s purpose and their work to the community in the towns of Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston then contact Louis Ferguson the Station Manager on either 01294 608048 or e-mail louisb@3TFM.org.
