LOCAL tenor Roger Paterson has made his debut appearance with the ‘posh boy band’ Scozzesi.

The brand new all-male vocal group sang for the first time in the Winter Gardens on Glasgow Green before a delighted audience of family and friends.

Roger is currently Music Director of Adelaide College in Saltcoats, principal trumpet for the Ayrshire Symphony Orchestra and conductor and accompanist for the vocal group The Singers.

The group was the brainchild of Daisy Henderson, of Classical Musicians Scotland.

Daisy said:  “I first heard these young men individually at auditions and was instantly struck by how beautifully they sang.

“I wanted to bring them together because I thought hearing the quality and tone of their voices in four part harmony would be a powerful musical experience.” All in their 20s and early 30s, the young singers and pianists studied music in Scotland, and are now pursuing busy professional careers as well as taking to the stage with Scozzesi.
