Whilst doing my Lewis Hamilton impression down the aisles of a well-known supermarket on one of their scooter machines – fabulous machines when if like me your pins are by their best – I couldn’t help but notice a particular stand which is selling fireworks.

It got me saying to myself: “It cannae be time for Hallowe’en and Guy Fawkes season already!”.

But it is!

My mind went into overdrive – it was faster than the scooter – saying I must dig out certain ads and contact certain guests to come into the 3TFM studios and talk about Hallowe’en and Guy Fawkes events, it’s importance, origins and all that goes into these events to make them memorable, fun and most importantly safe!

As I type this week’s column I am awaiting confirmation of guests to come in and chat to us on all these points.

To find out more then watch this space.

Earlier this week on the Community Sounds programme, Louise Park had Linda Tudhope and Sarah Hammond from the local Citizens Advice Bureau in our studios to talk about the Big Energy Saving Week.

This is a campaign that gives advice to people on how to save on energy costs.

Lots of valuable information was broadcast during the interview so if you didn’t catch it then don’t be disappointed.

Another programme to listen out for is broadcast this Thursday between 12-1pm.

Willie Robertson returns with the monthly North Ayrshire Community Health Partnership programme.

Willie will be keeping the listeners up to speed with what’s happening within the partnership and as October is Detect Breast Cancer Early month, Willie will be re-running an interview with myself, Kay Cooper and Gillian Jennings from NHS Ayrshire and Arran, talking about the campaign.

So until we do it all next week’s column, keep safe, keep warm, look after yourselves, and keep tuned to 103.1FM or listen in online via our website on www.3tfm.org.
