AN ARDROSSAN man is set to face trial after he was accused of assaulting a man in Largs at the start of the year.
Christopher Adams, 22, of Dalry Road, is said to have assaulted a man in the Lounge Bar, Main Street, Largs back on February 1.
At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week, Adams pled not guilty to assault by running at the man, repeatedly punching him on the head and knocking him to the floor to his injury.
He is also accused of having a Class A drug, namely cocaine, in his possession at Saltcoats Police Office on February 2.
Adams will face trial in May of next year after denying both of the charges against him.
