A SALTCOATS man has admitted attacking passing cars with a tree branch – Basil Fawlty style.
Scott Cruikshanks, 28, of Glebe Street, lunged at vehicles with the branch, Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard last week.
Cruikshanks walked down the middle of the A736, near West Doura Mains, on October 22.
He admitted a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer from fear or alarm by walking down the middle of the carriageway with a branch, lunging at motor vehicles and shouting and swearing.
Sentencing was adjourned for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report until December 11 this year.
