ONE of the men accused of murdering dad-of-one Samuel Johnston has had the charge against him withdrawn.
Prosecutor Sheena Fraser today told the High Court in Glasgow that she was withdrawing the libel of murder against 22-year-old Fergal Morgan.
Judge Bill Dunlop QC told Morgan that he now longer faced a murder charge.
Stuart McCulloch, 18, from Saltcoats, and Allan Carey, 19, from Ardrossan, deny murdering Mr Johnston at 36 Parkend Gardens, Saltcoats, on October 26, last year.
