AN ARDROSSAN man has been fined after he admitted swearing at police officers at a party last month.
Mark McDowall Steele, 37, of Kilmahew Street, was at a party in Princes Street, Ardrossan at 1.30am on October 26, when police chapped the door after they had received a complaint of loud noise Steele began shouting and swearing saying “f**k off” repeatedly and claiming that he was filming the incident on his phone.
He was placed under arrest.
Mr Currie, defending, said Steele was a self-employed joiner who planned to move to Gibraltar and the party was to celebrate that.
He claimed the incident was alcohol-fuelled and his client had a misguided sense of grievance and apologised for his behaviour.
Sheriff Murphy fined Steele £300 for the incident.
