A WELL known local woman is hanging up her apron for the last time after 11 years at the helm of Fisher Fine Foods.

Pauline Fisher has been the face of the Glasgow Street food outlet for more than a decade, and although she will still own the shop, will no longer going be there to welcome customers from first thing in the morning.

She said: “I always enjoyed it.

"The customers were the highlights, they were all different and I always enjoy meeting new people.” Running a shop which sells morning rolls and breakfasts to locals means getting up early and Pauline is still in that routine but she is looking to relax, get fit and chill out with her new found free time.

She andhusband Alistair are heading on a Christmas and New Year trip away to Benidorm.

When asked if they will miss the shop Pauline said she certainly will but Al quipped that he won’t miss taking the grille off the window every morning.

Pauline added: “I want to wish Nicola and John all the luck in the world with their venture and deliveries they will be doing.

"I’d like to thank Patricia and all the staff for their help over the years.

"Also, special thanks go to Margaret, Sooty, Eddie, Colin and Alastair for their custom.”
