THE much-anticipated new recording from local folk and blues outfit Will and The Wild Horse will be launched at The Windy Ha’ on Saturday The album’s release comes at the end of a busy year for the Three Towns band that included a slot at Eden Festival and the relaunch of music nights at the popular Saltcoats pub by front man Wully Smith and his Wake Up The Sun and life partner Jillian Shaw.

Wully said: “We have completed what has been a journey.

"New styles and strong influences of foreign lands grace our hearty new sound.

The CD was recorded by John Duffy at Next Window Studios in Crosshill, South Ayrshire.

Wully continued: “John can record practically anything.

"We used many different instruments in the album – mandolin, ukelele, fiddle, banjo and a bouzouki as well as guitars, bass and drums.

“We are already looking into recording some new material and the start of a new album.

“New festivals, venues and some tours are on the cards as well as looking at Europe and other dreams.

“We couldn’t have got where we are on this long ladder without all the people who support us.

“It’s not just with Will and the Wild Horse but with all the nights that are held at The Windy Ha’ your support and belief is very much appreciated.

Support will be provided by Duffy’s Gypsy Band, James Michael Rodgers and Antz Orbit in a great night of music to kick off the festive season.

Music starts at 8.30pm.

And as always, entry is free.
