WILD WINDS and snow continued on from last week and one local club fell foul of the weather when a floodlight took a tumble.  The double-light at Ardrossan Outdoor Bowling Club came crashing down on Friday morning and has caused damage to a section of one of the greens with glass becoming embedded in the surface as it smashed down.  The process of getting it fixed is now in place and the contractors who maintain the green will be contacted to get it fixed before the season starts in April.  The cost of the repair is unknown but is likely that it will run into the hundreds.  Have you got an pictures of storm damage?
