AN ARDROSSAN woman has been fined after she admitted assaulting a police officer at her home last year. Mary Ann Armstrong, 57, of School Place, pled guilty to repeatedly striking PC Joy Hamilton on the body and repeatedly slapping her on the face on July 9. Armstrong also admitted behaving in a threatening manner by shouting and swearing.
She was fined a total of £550 at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
