THE CHIEFTAIN for the 2015 Ardrossan Highland Games has been announced. Eddie Paterson, who is the owner of local gallery and framers ‘Art and Joy’ in Saltcoats, has been selected to take the coveted position for this year. Eddie, who is married to Lynette with four children, originally hails from Glasgow but has been an honorary Ayrshire man for many years.
Through his business Eddie has been a long time supporter of many local good causes including Ardrossan Highland Games.
Speaking after selection Eddie said: “I’m chuffed to bits and delighted to be asked to be the Chieftain.” Alastair Arnott, Chairman of the Ardrossan Highland Games, said: “It’s a pleasure for a local community event to be able to honour Eddie in this way.”
