FOLLOWING on from a meeting with local people and business owners in Saltcoats, a group to show what the town is all about has been set up.  And their first event is happening very soon.  The Saltcoats Community Action Group was founded off the back of a meeting in the town due to lack of public events, including no Christmas Lights switch-ons for two years.  The group, which will have its first public meeting on March 26, have already set up an Easter Egg hunt in Saltcoats on Saturday, April 4 starting in the Sainsbury’s car park at 10am.  The club has set out aims and objectives which are to:  Empower residents and business to make Saltcoats a better community and facilitate a community spirit.

Promote community events and promote the town centre.

Bring business and community together for a better Saltcoats.

Encourage all from the infants to the elderly, to the events.

Allow all to live in the community and feel safe and welcome.

Allow us all to appreciate and love our great town.

Allow us to meet socially as a group and laugh about achievements we have all made.
