AN AYRSHIRE man who suffered a heart attack in a Stevenston car park is hoping to trace two Good Samaritans who came to his aid.
Around lunch time last Saturday, Kevin Fawcett from Ayr had been shopping in Morrisons and collapsed by his car when he was hit by the first of two heart attacks he was to suffer that day.
Kevin, 47, said: “A wonderful woman Ellen and her husband came to my aid and comforted me while they summoned help from the store and called an ambulance.
“Ellen’s calm reassurance helped me massively at a very distressing time.” Kevin, who works with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, underwent emergency cardiac surgery to have two stents fitted and is now in rehabilitation.
And now he would love to meet up with his Stevenston heroes to say thank you in person.
Kevin continued: “The prognosis is good, but the recovery is slow, during which time I shall be moving to Stevenston, so if Ellen and her husband would like to get in touch that would be great.” “I’d also like to thank the ambulance service and the staff at Crosshouse, Hairmyres and Ayr hospitals for the fantastic treatment and future care.”
