ARDROSSAN’S first Laughter Yoga session raised £90 for the North Ayrshire Foodbank last week.

Run by Well Happy, the sessions are a way to improve physical and mental health, increase happiness levels, bring more fun and laughter into your life and meet new people.

And the first session, in Ardrossan Civic Centre, proved to be a hilarious hit.

Classes are being held on Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm and the first Tuesday of every month is ‘Charity Tuesday’.

The sessions will include Laughter Yoga, which was developed 20 years ago in India and is now a global movement.

Those who take part can laugh without the need for jokes, comedy or humour and get all the health benefits including: improved heart and circulatory health, lower blood pressure, increased endorphins (our happy chemicals), better creativity and problem solving, improved immune function protecting you from illness and disease, reduced sensitivity to pain and much more.

To nominate your charity go to wellhappylife.co.uk/Charity-Tuesday or call 01294 461730.

If your nominated charity is chosen, you will receive a Well Happy ‘Bag of Fun’.

Your charity will receive all profits from the session.

Sessions cost £6, or £4 concessions.
