AN ARDROSSAN man has recently passed out from the Army after completing his 14-weeks basic training. Darryl Milligan, 21, passed out on Friday, June 19 at ATR Winchester and is now serving with the Corps of Royal Engineers. He has a week’s leave before going on an eight week combat engineers course followed by a Class 1 HGV drivers course, which will last 11 weeks. Darryl was joined at the ceremony by his mum Sam and step-dad Derek Gilmour, Papa John and Granny Irene and his dad David Milligan and his partner Lorna Thompson. All of his family are so proud of everything that he has achieved and wish him well for a long and successful military career.
