A Dalmatian has left social media users in stitches after singing along to the Coronation Street theme song in a self-styled 'Glasgow Gogglebox' clip.

In the clip, Dexter, a 4-year-old Dalmatian appears draped in a Celtic scarf next to his owner and his friend as they sit down to watch their favourite soap.

Celtic fans Chris Bulloch, 26 and pal James Lochrie, 26, from Cambuslang, are sitting next to the musical pooch when James warns Dexter not to start singing along.

The dog begins to howl along to the song in perfect tune while the pair burst out laughing at their furry pal.

Girlfriend Gemma Sutherland, 20, who filmed the trio said her dog Dexter waits by the television so he can sing along to the theme song.

She said: "We were at my house after the Celtic game and Dexter was waiting to hear his favourite song. I thought it would be funny to video him, he's usually my party trick."

She continued: "We got him when he was two and on the second night in our house he started singing along to Corrie. He waits to sing it every night."

"Sometimes he says 'I love you' too. He's such a funny dog."

However, she admitted Dexter's head may have recently been turned as his favourite new song to sing is Sorry by Justin Bieber.

Gemma, who posted the video to Facebook, has been overwhelmed with the response from social media users.

Since uploading the video, it has been liked more than 700 times and has been shared nearly 400 times online.

We are thinking Britains Got Talent for this big guy!
