Scots comedian Limmy has been 'reported to the FBI' after he tweeted about the assassination of Donald Trump.
The comic, real name Brian Limmond, was targeted by furious Americans on Twitter after he tweeted: "Looking forward to Trump’s assassi… inauguration" ahead of Trump's Presidential inauguration today.

The tweet sent out to his 263,000 followers was favourited more than 1,800 times by tickled Scots, however American Twitter users took it seriously.
As a result, the comic was threatened not to travel to the USA again by mutiple Twitter accounts who claimed he had been reported to the FBI over his threat.
Agent Ice said: "NEVER travel to the USA; the NSA,CIA,FBI,Secret Service and all law enforcement has you under surveillance. #AnonOps"
"...conspiracy and hate are two different animals. In respect to our new President, threats will not be taken lightly."
The comic then asked his followers to 'check the replies' after a number of American Twitter users sent quotes of his tweet to the official secret service handle.
