AN OLD Firm legend has signalled his interest on being a cast member on Glasgow’s first reality show Glow.

Former Celtic star Bobby Petta will be featured in scenes from the season two opener which airs tonight at 9pm via a dedicated website - and according to the show’s creator Jamie Granger, he may be up for doing more.

Jamie, who runs GRTV which produces Glow, said: “We were excited to have Bobby Petta on the show and he has expressed an interest in appearing more often.”

The Dutchman, who starred for the Hoops from 1999 to 2004, played in an Old Firm charity match with cast members James English, Brian Matthews and James Drummond.

The scenes were filmed at the match which took place in Falkirk’s Camelon and Petta has some camera time with Possilpark lad James English, who has been a cast member since season one.

James said: “He is a great guy. We also had Frank McAvennie and few other Old Firm stars in that scene.”

The appearance, however, is not Petta’s first taste of showbiz. He was previously an extra on the Brad Pitt zombie flick World War Z which was filmed in Glasgow.

Season two of Glow kicks off tonight at 9pm and features the introduction of two new cast members.

Denise Wilkie shows off her friend Ashleigh Bradshaw in a gym scene while make-up artist Leanne Jeffrey introduces her fiance Ian Bradley.

GRTV who are behind the show promise even more new faces as the season goes on.

Jamie said: “Ashleigh is a new character and as the storylines emerge you will see more of her.”

He boasted that season two will have even more drama than the first episodes.

He said: “There is more drama and more things happening within the group. They have all formed as a group. They knew each other but they didn’t know each other. Now they all do and you expect more from them.”

He added: “The cast are all so professional now. They get stuck in.

“We improved on the editing. Everybody has brought it. It is what I expected and more.”

James English boasted: “There is no wee bit of glamour, wee bit of drama stuff anymore. The new episodes are going to be explosive.”

The cast began filming in the middle of February and there will be a total of six episodes.

GRTV also promise two specials including one abroad but they remained tight lipped about the location of filming.

The cast will fly out to their location for a week of filming which will be aired over two episodes.

Barmaid Jemma McMahon joked: “I look great in bikini, let’s go.”

With season one attracting over half a million viewers, GRTV hope to reach an even bigger audience.
