GLASGOW is running out of Croatia shirts as footie fans north of the border continue to back England’s opponents in the World Cup.

Shops have been inundated with requests from customers who want to purchase the chequered kit before England's semi-final crunch match tonight.

Greaves Sports in Glasgow has completely sold out.

Managing director Sandy Greaves told the Evening Times it was a fun rivalry: "This normally happens any time England plays.

"Last Saturday morning all the die-hard Scottish fans wanted the Swedish jersey.

"It's a Scottish thing. I'm sure the same thing happens down south."

A spokesman for the Nike shop in Glasgow added: “We have been absolutely inundated with requests for Croatia shirts.”

Thousands of Scots have been backing England’s opponents throughout the World Cup and will continue to do so when Gareth Southgate’s men try and book their place in the final. Around 37 million people are expected to tune in and watch the match at 7pm.
