AN ARDROSSAN man has been given a period of supervision after he admitted assaulting a police officer earlier this year. John Paul Mullen, 33, of Kilmahew Street, admitted assaulting a police constable on the roadway near to Island View by kicking him on the leg. Mullen also pled guilty to conducting himself in a disorderly manner by shouting, swearing, overturning furniture and threatening his partner and others with violence at an address in Island View. He appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and was sentenced to one year of supervision.
