A LOCAL estate agent is making sure it stands out from the crowd by installing a new interactive touchscreen display in its front window.
County Homes, which opened its doors earlier this month, has transformed its shop window on Main Street into a giant computer screen to showcase all of its latest properties.
It is the first estate agent in the area to install this through-glass digital technology.
Passers-by can now browse properties, request details or book viewings and property appraisals simply by touching the window.
Owner Alan Cotton said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing the very latest touchscreen technology to West Kilbride. We are a new company and we want to do things a bit differently to give our clients the highest levels of service possible.
“The display operates like a giant iPad. Now even when the shop is closed, people can search all of our properties 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It’s a really eye-catching new addition to the shop and is already creating a lot of interest in town.”
The 42” high bright display, which was installed by Touchscreen Europe, is made of a slimline foil which runs off a media player. This means there is no need for a projector and all content can be changed remotely.
The high-definition, full-colour displays are clearly visible in both bright sunshine and darkness. They are designed to attract customer’s attention and maximise window space.
Touchscreen Europe’s Andrew Turner says: “This innovative product gives estate agents a competitive edge over their rivals. People are now very familiar with touchscreen technology and these through-glass displays are a powerful and dynamic way for businesses to interact with customers 24/7.”
County Homes is Ayrshire’s newest and NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) licenced estate agents.
The local owners Alan Cotton and Gillian Jack are both former police officers born and bred in North Ayrshire. After years of buying and selling properties in the Ayrshire and West Kilbride/Largs area they decided to launch a new style of estate agency.
