Rotary club honour the late Anne Wilkinson with award to husband Richard
The Rotary Club of Hunterston are pleased to announce that the late Anne Wilkinson has been chosen as Citizen of the Year 2016.
Anne, who was well known as the Postmistress in West Kilbride, unfortunately passed away on December 29, 2016.
She had been nominated by member Derek Andrews for her voluntary work in the village.
That work included the Community Council, the Young Farmers’, the Scottish Women’s Institute, the West Kilbride Trust, the Conservative Association and Overton Church.
A framed certificate and a cheque for £100, to the Ayrshire Hospice, was presented to Anne’s husband Richard by President Howard Gibb at a special Rotary Club meeting and dinner at the Seamill Hydro on Wednesday, April 5.
