A WEST Kilbride schoolboy was rocking the red carpet at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this weekend.

10-year-old Noah Graham plays a lead role in a short film ‘HOWLS’ which premiered on Saturday at the festival - but he didn’t get to watch the film as as the screening group was rated 18.

The film, is described as ‘a young mum runs away with her fragile son to a woodland hut community in Scotland and door steps a random boy she has recently met. When hope of acceptance in his community quickly fades, she loses control, whilst her son finds solace in a mysterious wolf’, also on the shortlist for the Best Short Film at the renowned festival.

The West Kilbride Primary School pupil even bumped into Trainspotting star Ewan Bremner, whose latest film was involved in the same screeing as HOWLS.

Noah’s mum Tracey said: “Amazing comments about Noah afterwards - absolutely blown away and so proud. The programmer had talked a fair bit about Noah when she got the directors up to talk about their films. She said he is “definitely a star for the future.

“Unfortunately Noah wasn’t allowed into the screening as the group was rated an 18! He still hasn’t seen this film!

“It was such a good day though I don’t think he cared that much!”
