POLICE in Saltcoats are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in West Kilbride yesterday (Thursday, March 8).
Officers were called to the Glen Park at 11am following a report that a 55-year-old male had been assaulted there.
The victim was taken to hospital as a result of the incident but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
Colin Convery, Localities Inspector said: "Officers from Saltcoats Police Office are investigating an allegation that a 55-year-old male was assaulted in Glen Park, West Kilbride at around 11am on March 8. As a result of the incident the victim received hospital treatment.
"I would appeal for any witnesses to contact Saltcoats Police Office quoting incident 1147 of March 8."
