MARGARET'S MISSION
MARGARET Starling lives with the faith that technology will one day be developed which will save her dwindling sight and prevent her from going blind.
Three years ago the West Kilbride resident was diagnosed with macular degeneration after she noticed blurred vision while driving and reading.
The 65-year-old said: "When I was describing it to my granddaughter, who is interested in photography, I said that some of my pixels aren't working and I can't see some dots."
On Sunday, May 20 Margaret will host a fundraiser 'Tea for MD' from 2pm to 4pm in the West Kilbride Village Hall. There is a £3 donation for entry and funds will go towards the Macular Disease Society.
