AN ANGRY dad has hit out after thieves smashed the front window of his wife's shop and stole a giant teddy bear which was being used to raise money for sick children.

Mike Welsh, who is undertaking a massive charity fundraiser for Yorkhill Hospital soon, said: "These people are just scum."

The neds broke into the Cuddly Kingdom branch run by Mr Welsh'd wife Rebecca in Main Street, West Kilbride, under cover of darkness last week and made off with the toy bear, worth £250, which was part of he and his family's efforts to make money for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow.
