HAMILTON ACCIES 1

KILMARNOCK 1

AMBITIOUS Kilmarnock boss Lee Clark is targeting a push for the top six after Killie stretched their unbeaten run to three games at New Douglas Park.

But the gaffer was disappointed not to take all three points from a game in which they created a host of chances.

Clark said: "To be honest I feel it's a case of two points dropped for us as we had opportunities to win the game but just didn't take them. I thought our new player Kristopher Ajer had a good game and Conor Sammon came on and am sure will do well for us. We look forward to the game at Dundee on Saturday although it will be tough as they took a point on Saturday and have bounced back after bad results. It's such a tight league and we must look up. There's a chance we could get into the top six with a win and that has to be the target."

Killie opened strongly and got off to the best possible start by taking the lead in seven minutes, Sean Longstaff netting with a 20-yard piledriver which was his second goal in two games.

However Accies equalised in 43 minutes when Eamonn Brophy beat Freddie Woodman - in for normal first choice goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald - with a fierce effort from the edge of the penalty area."

Kilmarnock had much of the pressure in the second half but failed to add to their tally and it ended all-square.
