LAST Tuesday saw the Three Towns Darts League turn out at the Bar One for a new event in the calendar, the Blind Draw Doubles.

The generator picked out some interesting pairings with the experienced duo of Davie Tennant and Jim Reid predicted as the early bookies' favourites.

However it was the pairing of Andy Boulton and Graeme McConnell who came through the strong field of players to be crowned the inaugural champions of this exciting event. Andy and Graeme defeated Kevin McKinney and Peter McGuiness Jnr 3-1nr in the final by a 3-1 scoreline.

Results from the last eight onwards are, as follows:

Quarter-Finals - K McKinney and P McGuiness Jnr 3 v 0 B Crozier and R Povah; D Tennant and Jim Reid 3 v 0 A Brown and D King; R Bacon and W Hays 3 v 1 J Woodside and T.Hunter; A Boulton and G McConnell 3 v 2 B Stevely and H Bell

Semi-Finals - K McKinney and P McGuiness Jnr 3 v 2 D Tennant and Jim Reid; A Boulton and G McConnell 3 v 1 R Bacon and W Hays.

A massive thanks to all that turned out and to the Bar One for hosting the event.
