ARDROSSAN CASTLE ROVERS 3

CASTLE travelled to Lugar to face a stuffy side who are trying to break into the top six of a strong league.

The visitors took their time getting started and struggled to knock the ball about on a horrible football park. They finally broke the deadlock inside 20 minutes when Iain Fraser cut the home defence open and Mark "Chuck" Kilpatrick raced through.

The visitors missed a host of chances and went in 1-0 up at half-time.

After the break they were sharp and scored their second when a Stewart Morgan cross was thundered in off the post by Jason Kean.

The hosts were then awarded a penalty which was saved by Matty Coyle, who had a great game.

The third goal came from the spot when Iain Fraser calmly stroked the ball home.

Glenmuir piled the pressure on and scored two quick wonder strikes before Castle player Marc "Fazza Farrell saw red for his second bookable offence late on.

Castle held on for another big three points on the road with eight league fixtures remaining.

Man-of the-match, sponsored by Spicy Hut Ardrossan was Jason Kean.
