A NEW event, the Blind Draw Four Man Team Challenge was run by the Mainland Taxis Three Towns Darts League saw players turn out in force at the Bar One in Saltcoats.
All players were entered into a draw and randomly selected to form teams of 4 players, giving all players within the League a chance to lift the inaugural title.
After some intense match-ups, the team of Jim Reid, Tam Hunter, John Woodside and Hannah Bell came out on top at the end of the evening, winning the final after a deciding, nail-biting leg.
After four singles matches and two doubles games the scoreline was all square at 3-3. This forced a four-man team final leg of 1001.
However it was the only female player within the league that sealed the victory, as Bell hit the winning double to claim the title for her team and crown them the first ever Blind Draw Four Man Team Champions.
The runners-up were Peter McGuiness, Bobby Crozier, Brian Fotheringham and John Hall.
