A FANASTIC week of running for North Ayrshire Athletics Club seniors saw Personal Bests and skint knees aplenty.

Last Wednesday, John Leitch and Angela Reid tackled the Antonine Trail 10k.

It's a tough, undulating course which takes in the Croy and Barr Hills tested everyone, but both John and Angela had great runs finishing in 46.22 and 50.43 respectively, Angela being fourth female overall.

All roads (and a ferry) on Saturday led to Arran for the Goatfell race.

This race has a bit of everything; road, trail, scrambling and of course the hill itself.

After a bit of rain on the way over, conditions soon cleared for the 15.5k race that is always a popular one for the fell runners. First back for the club was Alisdair McCallum in a time of 1.44.26 and another PB. Close behind was John Leitch in 1.49 who won the competition for photo of the day.

Other NAAC runners were Fiona Comrie getting a fantastic PB, Tam Street, Angela Reid and Joanne Pitt. There were great runs from all.

Last but not least Stirling hosted its inaugural marathon on Sunday, where the club had three members taking part.

Stephen Maher led the club home in a fantastic time of 3.32 with Suzanne Dickson not far behind in 3.39 and Debbie Neal in 3.42 - taking a massive 15 minutes off her previous PB.
