KSC Girls U15s are celebrating their second major honour inside five days.

Fresh from victory against Kilmarnock Girls in the South West League Cup final, they were asked to represent North Ayrshire in the Bank of Scotland Midnight League Regional Competition at Somerset Park.

They faced teams from all over the southwest, including Ayr, South Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.

It was a different setting the the girls were used to as this was a five-a-side tournament rather than 11-a-side.

With very little breaks in between games the girls coped brilliantly, playing seven games in the blistering heat. As KSC girls finished their group unbeaten, they progressed to the final where they faced Dumfries and Galloway.

After taking an early 3-0 lead, fatigue got the better of KSC, who found themselves 4-3 down with just over a minute left.

This was the wake-up call needed as they pushed forward and got their rewards with two more goals right at the end to see the final out 5-4 winners.

Well done to David Beaton and William Dunne for looking after the teams and bringing some silverware back to KSC.

On the back of the league cup victory, another trophy today is nothing short of fantastic.

The future is certainly looking good for KSC Girls.
