SUNDAY saw the first Futsal festival for local 2009 teams take place at KA Campus St Matthew's.
Organised by KA Leisure and the Scottish FA Football Development department, the event gave teams from Tass Thistle, Largs Colts, Beith Juniors FC, Irvine Meadow, KSC Madrid and Harbour Stars an opportunity to participate in the small-sided indoor game.
Futsal, an indoor variation of football, encourages close control in tight areas and improves players' awareness and quick thinking to make good decisions on and off the ball.
