DETERMINED Ardrossan boosted their top flight survival hopes with a top drawer performance on Saturday.

They took on Paisley in a Gents Premier Division relegation battle at the Glasgow Street rink.

The home side enjoyed an ultimately comfortable 98-62 victory and will now play Fifers Abbeyview in the relegation-promotion playoff at Cumbernauld on Sunday, March 11.

Skip Martin Williamson said: "We were delighted to win and it the games were all quite close until the later stages. The players were up for it and we deserved the victory. Now we look forward to the playoff - we beat Abbeyview to stay in the Premier Division four or five years ago, so hopefully we can do it again.

"Our last league game is at Falkirk on Saturday but it's meaningless for both sides so we will use it as practise."
