BATTLING basement side North Ayrshire put up a fight against third-placed Drumchapel before losing out 7-1 to the third-placed team.
The visitors had four of the top eight in Scotland in their ranks - Colin Dalgleish (3), Sean Docherty (4), Richard Main (5) and Chris Main (7).
But they were up against a world class home side who had three foreigners, full-time professionals and Scotland's number two and four in their ranks.
The matches were close and North Ayrshire made a game of it.
However, Dalgleish was the only victor, notching up a career-best win against highly-rated Yannick Vostes.
